What are your delivery times?

We aim to post all orders within 24 hours of receiving them, and we often post the same day. Royal mail aim to deliver on the following working day in the UK.

Deliveries are usually made within three days to Western Europe, four days to the rest of Europe, and five days for the rest of the world, following the day of posting.

How do you calculate postage and packaging?

We use Royal Mail first class for all deliveries, and we post worldwide.

We charge based on the weight of your order, and we use the Royal Mail's pricing system. This is detailed more on our "Delivery and P&P" page.

Do you offer free postage?

At present we do not offer free postage, however, we keep the prices of our products as low as possible, so we believe we still offer great value for money. To offer free postage we would have to increase the prices of our products as many other sites do.

What is Store Pickup?

This is an option for our customers who live locally. This allows them to make an order online earlier in the day, and then collect later the same day in many cases. This means that they do not pay P&P. It also allows those people who are busy during the day to simply come and collect, if they would not have had time to browse the store before we close. Can I collect after 5PM?

We are bound by the opening times of the indoor market where are retail shop is based, so at present we must close at 5PM. However, if you do wish to collect an order after 5PM, please do contact us, as we may be able to make provision for this.

Do you take orders by telephone?

We can take an order by telephone, however we do not have the facility in store to take a payment by telephone. We would need you to either pay by cash when you arrive at the shop, or make a separate payment by BACS transfer.

If you do wish to place your order over the telephone, we would also ask that you have the product numbers to hand as we will need them to process the order.

Are you open 7 days a week?

Our online site and shop is open, and managed, 7 days a week.

However, the indoor market where we are based is closed every Wednesday and Sunday, and as such, our retail shop is also closed on these days.

Can I pay by card at your retail shop?

At oresent we do not have the facilities for this, however, there are 3 cashpoint machines almost next door to the indoor market where we are based.

Do I have to register an account with you?

No, at Bead Savvy we believe you should be able to simply visit the site, add the items to your basket and then checkout without ever registering.

When you make a purchase, a password and login details are automatically generated and emailed to you along with a link to our login page. This makes the shopping process much simpler for you. You can then track your order and view your order history.

Can I track my order?

Yes you can. You don't even have to manually register with us to be able to do this.

If you choose recorded delivery as your delivery method then you can request the Royal Mail tracking code from us once the parcel has been dispatched.

Is there a minimum order amount?

No, we believe that you should only spend what you need to spend. Our single beads are sold with a minimum quantity of 10. As our cheapest beads are just 2 pence each, that means the minimum order would be just 20 pence. Or you could even order just 10cm of cord and spend even less.

Do you have minimum order quantities?

At Bead Savvy we believe that you should only have to buy what you need.

Where we sell beads by the string, naturally we ask that you buy the string.

Where we sell individual beads, we ask that you buy a minimum of 10 (although some more expensive beads we may allow just 1), rather than many stores where you are forced into buying quantities of 50 or more.

For stringing materials, of course some items we sell by the roll such as tigertail, but for chain, elastic, aluminium wire and leather cord we sell per 10cm rather than per metre, again allowing you to purchase only what you need to create your latest ideas.

As many findings are so small, we do sell these pre-bagged, but we try to keep the quantities per bagas low as we can so that you still only have to but the amounts you need.

Do you have a catalogue to download?

At Bead Savvy, we are constantly looking out for new products, and keep adding to our range of beads, keeping things interesting for our customers. As such, any catalogue produced would be out of date almost as soon as we published it. We therefore do not offer a catalogue.

There are so many beads, how do I find what I want?

There are a numnber of ways to search our site.

If you simply want to browse through our products one by one to see what catches your eye, or gives you inspiration, you can use the navigation bar on the left hand side of the screen. Our beads are sorted into the type of materials they are made from.

If you know a keyword that you wish to sort for, such as 'transparent' or 'frosted', then you can key this into the sitewide search, located at the top of the left hand side of the screen.

If you know more specifically what you want, such as, a red cube shaped bead, made of wood, and is 8mm wide, then you can use our advanced filter search. This is just below the sitewide search.

How do I use the Advanced Filter Search?

This facility allows you to find beads that match your search criteria.

There are four categories in the search:-
Material, Colour, Shape and Size.

For each category, you can 1 more specifics, and if you wish you do not have to make a selection from every category.

To highlight more than one option in a category, hold 'CTRL' and click the options.

If you wanted to search for a red wooden round 8mm bead, you can.

If you want to search again, but search for both red and green wooden beads, you can.

If you just wanted to search for red round beads, you could, and you would then have more options to choose from, as it will show you those beads in all available materials and sizes.

Yes we do. We are currently compiling a list of dates and workshop themes for 2013, and these will be added to the website soon. If there is a particular workshop that you would like to see added, please do contact us and we will do our best to accomodate this.

Do you run beading parties?

Yes we do. We will be adding details for these very soon. We can offer parties for any occassion, and we will supply all of the materials for you to use, and of course provide instruction for you. How about a kids party, or a hen night, crafting your own special jewellery!

When will items be back in stock?

We order stock regularly for new and existing products. These come from all around the world, so times do vary from a couple of days upto a maximum wait of 3 weeks.

My beads arrived but the shade is slightly different.

Due to the nature of different internet browsers and monitor settings, certain colours may appear slightly different in tone to their true colouring. This is unavoidable, but if you return these goods to us, we will be happy to give a refund as we want to ensure that all of our customers are satisfied with their items.

Returns - I've ordered the wrong item.

If you had originally ordered the wrong item, rather than the item being damaged, we can only refund you for the goods returned. We cannot refund the postage amount in these cases. For more information or any queries please contact us.

At Bead Savvy, we always strive to ensure that you are more than happy with your purchases and we are 100% committed to customer satisfaction. If, for any reason, your purchase arrives to you damaged or is unsatisfactory in any way, we will make every effort to ensure that the situation is resolved, and that you are happy with your purchase. Items can be replaced, exchanged for goods of the same value or for a full refund for the cost of the product.

Returns - How long do I have to make a return?

All returned items must be delivered to us within 30 days of receipt. They should be in their original condition and in their original packing, unused, securely packed for postage and with a note quoting the orginal invoice number and a short explanation of what you require enclosed.
